According to sources,
Man City Esports are set to sign Christian
"TempoH" Mortensen and Finlay
"rise." Ferguson, who will link up with Aston
"accro" Smith for the
Rocket League Club Championship next season. William
"ejby" Ejby Lorentzen is set to make way for the duo and depart the organization following the conclusion of RLCS 2026. TempoH returns to Man City Esports after departing to join Geekay Esports for the latter half of last season where he was replaced by Enzo "
Seikoo" Grondein, who has
now entered free agency. Rise is set to join his first organization in Europe since departing Karmine Corp at the end of 2024. Noah
"n0ah" Hinder looks set to retain his position as head coach of the team for next season, having joined Man City Esports in December 2025.
Man City Esports had been contesting the market for other European rosters, but
has lost out on other targets with the emergence of AG.AL, sources told Sheep Esports. The organization first entered the esport for RLCS 2026 and quickly became a part of the Esports Shop revenue share scheme. Epic Games has also
invited the organization to join the RLCS partnership program for next season, where they will appear at the London Kick-Off Weekend in December.
A successful first season
Man City Esports are the esports division of one of the largest football clubs in England, Manchester City F.C. They initially signed accro, ejby and TempoH for RLCS 2026 back in December 2025. The team were contenders in Europe, peaking with a top-four in Regional Open #3 and appearing at the 2026 Kick-Off Weekend but failed to qualify for the gauntlet event. At the end of the Split, Man City lost a decisive tiebreaker against Geekay Esports where the winner qualified for the Boston Major. As a result, a number of changes occurred following Split 1, resulting in the departure of TempoH. The Danishman joined their rivals Geekay Esports as a replacement for the experienced Seikoo, who chose to head the other way and joined Man City Esports. Man City ultimately got the last laugh, as the team's results improved towards the end of the season, where they would qualify for the Paris Major, earning a strong top-six after making the playoffs.
On the other hand, TempoH struggled alongside new teammates Joseph
"Joyo" Youn and Jack
"ApparentlyJack" Benton, with their highest result being a top-12 in Regional Open 5, a far cry from making the Boston Major earlier in the season. Due to these placements, Man City Esports qualified for the RLCS 2026 World Championship as Europe’s fifth seed. The team defeated both Shopify Rebellion and Bigodes in the group stage to qualify for the playoffs, where they would face European rivals Gentle Mates. The team lost to the French organization 2-4, exiting the tournament with a top-12 finish.
Following the conclusion of the tournament, Seikoo announced that he was looking for a team having entered free agency. The former World Champion
quickly formed a partnership with Charles "
juicy" Sabiani and
is now expected to join Geekay Esports, where the duo will link up with Mathis
"mtzr" Hoareau. As a result, TempoH was forced to assess his own place on the market.
RLCS LAN veteran, rise, who returned from North America at the end of the 2026 regular season after departing Gen.G Mobil1 Racing, will complete the roster ahead of the Club Championship. The Englishman spent two years competing in North America and MENA before linking up with Ben
"Toxiic" Salmon and Liam "
yujin" Daillac for the European LCQ, where he earned a top-six finish. He then formed a partnership with long-time teammate Joyo on THE LANinmals for the EWC and reached the final stage of the LCQ. The 22-year-old’s last RLCS LAN appearance came with Twisted Minds in 2025 but he remains a steadfast professional who is a veteran of the LAN scene. As one the premium free agents in the region, he is now expected to join TempoH and accro on Man City Esports, two players he has never competed with.
