Did you know Lee “Flash” Young Ho, hailed as the greatest StarCraft player in history, famously brought a ruler to every match to measure the exact position of his keyboard and setup? Likewise, Ryu “
Keria” Min-seok from T1 also uses a ruler to get the perfect distance between his peripherals, and just last year, he spoke out about the difficulties adapting to setup changes on varying stages. Such detailed preparations are common on tournament stages as every athlete’s setup is highly personal, and the slightest change to their environment could dramatically impact performance.
The problem is that while players want to recreate the exact setup that’s unique to them on stage, they simply can’t — there were no reliable solutions in the industry. Until now. Rooted in competitive gaming and deeply embedded in the esports world since 2018, Secretlab now unveils the new Secretlab On-Stage Standard — the first-ever competitive standard for desks, chairs, armrests, and more that allows pro players to consistently recreate every aspect of their training setup on the tournament stage with millimeter precision.
Now making its official debut at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds), it offers unparalleled support for the highest level of gameplay. Some may question: Does millimeter precision really matter in esports? In a word — absolutely.
Why is millimeter precision critical in esports?
While casual gamers may not notice it, a slight difference of just a few millimeters in real life can significantly impact professional competitive players’ in-game mouse and character control, as well as determine match outcomes as they compete for multi-million dollar prize pools. Combining Secretlab's engineering expertise with feedback from players who train in meticulously dialed-in setups for up to 16 hours a day, Secretlab knows that even the slightest change in armrest position or mouse and keyboard placements isn’t just noticeable — it’s disruptive.
Muscle memory
Pro players have developed their muscle memory through repetitive, trained movements. A small change in their armrest height — even by a few millimeters — alters the angle of their wrist, elbow, and shoulder. As a result, a player who may be used to a lower arm support may find their mouse aim slipping after switching to a setup with slightly raised armrests.
Mental focus
In any top-level competition, players need strong mental focus to concentrate on their own performance.
Rafael Nadal is well-known for his ritualistic pre-match routines on the tennis court. By adjusting his socks and arranging his water bottles in a diagonal line, he engages in small, familiar behaviors that help him block out distractions and focus on the game. For esports players, recreating every aspect of their training setup during tournaments provides a sense of control on an unfamiliar stage. This consistency in their environments boosts in-game concentration where it counts most.
Secretlab is no stranger to pro players’ needs. Years of firsthand experience in the competitive gaming scene have also given us a clear understanding of the physical toll that long hours in an unsupportive chair can take. Chronic backaches, wrist strain, and body fatigue are all too common for professional players.
Secretlab developed the Secretlab TITAN Evo to meet the advanced ergonomic needs of pro players. That’s why Secretlab's chairs are trusted by some of the world’s top teams — including T1, Team Vitality, and Cloud9 — and are also the preferred chair of choice for the world’s biggest tournaments, such as Worlds for the seventh consecutive year.
Now, Secretlab is going one step further to offer both precision and ergonomics to esports players.
What is the all-new Secretlab On-Stage Standard?
The all-new Secretlab On-Stage Standard introduces a new line of tournament-grade equipment that gives players precision control over their gear, so they can focus on performing at their best.
“Serious professional gamers have always sought to replicate their home/training setup as much as possible on the main stage. Since two decades ago, StarCraft pros have brought their own mice, mousepads, keyboards, mouse bungees (relics of the past), and earphones/headsets to try to achieve this.
At the highest level of esports (or any sport for that matter), consistent precision matters. Setups are highly personal, and competitive operations teams also struggle to consistently replicate optimal play conditions for each player at scale.
One often underestimated but important variable is the configuration of their furniture: monitor + keyboard + mouse placement, armrest-elbow angle, armrest height, and desk height. No one has addressed this gap in competitive play until now. Solving it required a depth of insight into what top esports pros truly need, which you’d only obtain through exwe createdtensive interactions with players, and a breadth of engineering expertise. Finally, this can only be tackled by true specialists who would obsess over every millimeter when designing products, and that’s exactly how wecreated the Secretlab On-Stage Standard. ” — Ian Ang, Co-Founder & CEO of Secretlab

From the pros
Working with Riot Games, the Secretlab On-Stage Standard was first trialed at the inaugural 2025 League of Legends First Stand tournament and the 2025 Mid-Season Invitational (MSI), and is now making its official debut at Worlds this year.
Chris Greeley, global head of League of Legends Esports : “League of Legends Esports pros train relentlessly to reach our global stage, and it's our goal to provide the best environment for them to perform. Since 2019, Secretlab has delivered top-tier seating for our biggest moments, and their new On-Stage Standard integration takes it even further — giving every player personalized control over their setup. We're thrilled to debut this innovation at Worlds 2025 and appreciate Secretlab's ongoing commitment to elevating the League of Legends Esports experience.”
Secretlab further tested the Secretlab on-stage standard with their esports partners, using their feedback to make performance refinements grounded in actual use. For athletes at this level, precision is everything.
Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, T1 – 5-time League of Legends World Champion
“I’m very particular about how our setups are configured. The Secretlab InfinitePrecision™ Armrest is the most precise and adjustable armrest I’ve used. I could feel the difference right away during our training sessions, and look forward to having this rolled out across more tournaments.
Having full control over the exact height and angle of our armrests and setup means I can fully adjust this to account for my specific needs and individual preferences — when I feel the most comfortable, stronger gameplay naturally follows."
Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, T1 – 2-time League of Legends World Champion
“It is difficult to play at your best form if the settings of your setup keep changing and aren't what you need. Even if the chair’s armrest or desk is off by just a millimeter, you feel it — it affects your posture, your aim, your momentum.
My training setup is always evolving and I try to match tournament conditions, but no matter how close I get, it’s never been 100% the same. There’s also the added time pressure where we typically get about 5 minutes to set up before our matches. The Secretlab InfinitePrecision™ Armrest solves these problems, where I simply need to remember my number on its display and quickly set it up.”
Erick "Xeppaa" Bach, Cloud9 – Professional VALORANT Player: "There is a lot more flicking and arm movements in FPS gameplay. We’ve trained our muscle memory and reflexes through long practice at our preferred setup. It definitely helps if I could have better control of my setup at tournaments and achieve a constant height for my chair and armrest. Before the Secretlab InfinitePrecision™ Armrest, I’ve been using a general feel to get the same height for my arm positioning, and this isn’t always consistent. It’s very useful now that I have a measurable way to get my exact setup."
