It took
an advertisement for a Pop-Up Café alongside
VALORANT Champions Shanghai for the first real visual of
VALORANT's upcoming new agent to be revealed. Expected to be a Duelist, the character appears to be a woman and is set to be officially unveiled to the public on October 17, one day before the grand final of the
2026 World Championship, as unveiled by
VALORANT Leaks & News on X.
The same character had already appeared in Riot Games' official communications on September 14, during the latest DEV Updates, which introduced many new features and changes. At the end of the video, the agent can be seen appearing over Anna Donlon, Riot's Head of VALORANT Studios, seemingly taking control of her, or at least doing something that appears to disturb the North American publisher's executive. While this could be a coincidence, it may offer a hint at the character's powers and abilities.
A new Duelist for VALORANT
For the community, the character appears to share some familiar features with Reyna. The new agent, whose name has not yet been revealed, is therefore rumored to become VALORANT's ninth Duelist. In addition to sharing the same role, the character appears to be a woman with long white hair and, most notably, glowing purple eyes, much like Reyna. The two also seem to share the color purple, which is the dominant shade in this visual.

Beyond these characteristics, the new agent appears to wear relatively dark clothing, with shades of purple reflecting the colors of the image, as well as elevated shoes. During her first appearance, however, green was much more prominent in the color coming from the streetlight, a setting that is also identical in both this teaser and the
DEV Updates video.
“exclusive first look”
Riot Games' official Weibo post also references the upcoming character, promoting the VALORANT New Agent Pop-Up Café at Waji Café in Shanghai from October 13 to 18. The announcement invites players to investigate the scene and discover classified information about the new Agent, stating that they can "get an exclusive first look at classified intel on the new Agent." The event will also feature interactive story-driven activities, themed dishes, and a chance to discover surprise merchandise related to the upcoming character.
The character is therefore expected to join
VALORANT's roster ahead of the next season of Riot Games' FPS competitive circuit, which should begin in November. The new agent would become the 30th character to join the game and the second to be released in 2026, following
Miks' arrival last March with the launch of Act 2. With this ninth Duelist, the role would further extend its lead in terms of
representation, with exactly seven Controllers, seven Initiators, and seven Sentinels.
