Led by newly appointed General Manager Jonathon, Dignitas will look to defy expectations

The return of the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) will be a clean slate start for Dignitas. They are the only remaining organization to have participated in the inaugural 2013 Spring NA LCS split, which reaped middling results in 2025; that’s why the only returning player is toplaner Kyeong “Photon” Gyu-tae.
He will be joined by fellow countryman Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun on support and Lawrence “eXyu” Xu, who both played for Dignitas before. Finally, botlaner Victor “FBI” Huang and midlaner Cristian “Palafox” Palafox, complete the roster. This roster was assembled by newly appointed General Manager, Jonathon “Jonathon” McDaniel. The coaching staff responsible for guiding this team will be Head Coach Simon “Swiffer” Papamarkos, former Team Liquid Assistant Coach, and Assistant Coach Emanuel “Emi” Ursachi, formerly with GIANTX.
Fighting for a playoff spot
Dignitas have struggled since their return to compete in North America’s premier tournament; their best finish was a 2019 Worlds appearance through the Regional Gauntlet under the Clutch Gaming banner. To try to beat this result, Jonathon reunited three players who won an LCS Championship with NRG in 2023.
Achieving this form will be a complicated task. Palafox is coming off a decent 2025, where his team, Shopify Rebellion, was upset by RED Canids on the LTA Championship. FBI was able to attend Worlds 2025 with the now disbanded organization, 100 Thieves. IgNar is coming a year without competing, which raises some questions.
The chosen jungler, eXyu, spent 2025 with Disguised, where he was able to defend their slot for 2026. He is not a stranger to the organization as he represented the Dignitas brand from 2022 to 2024. Photon was the brightest spot in 2025, though he only joined for Split 3. With longer time to build synergy, and nothing to lose, the Korean top laner will look to break the chain and defy expectations.
