Colombia appoints League of Legends Roster for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup

With their eyes set on Riyadh, Team Colombia has unveiled its League of Legends roster for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup. The Cafeteros build this roster, including several players with experience in Latin America’s Tier 2 scene and a promising rookie playing in CBLoL.

The Colombian National Team includes three players who won the last Golden League, the Colombian Tier 2 League before the creation of the LRN:

Team Argentina and Team Brazil qualified for the Main Event thanks to the Nations Ranking. To qualify for ENC’s Main Event, the Colombian roster will have to play through the South American Regional Qualifiers. They will have the favorite tag alongside Peru and Venezuela, the only two other nations above the Cafeteros on the ranking. Víctor “" Durango, who plays in the NACL, is one of the players to watch.

The average fan will probably be oblivious, but the die-hard Latin American fans should spot what most players have in common: previous synergy. Colombia is betting on players who have all represented the Colombian-Curaçaoan organization . This team is a powerhouse in the region and has the accolades to back this claim.

Out of a possible five, Fuego has played in four finals and won three LRN Championships. During most of this time, the team’s face was Jairo Camilo "" Urbina Orozco, one of the most talented mid laners in Latin American history. At some point during 2023-2025, Zelt shared time with Keii, Devost, Zeypher, Ichiwin, or Coach Dye in Fuego.

Colombia has historically preferred to compete in the Latin America North server and region because of the lower ping when compared to the Latin America South servers. National Team Head Coach Dye shared on his Twitter that Colombia had petitioned the Esports Foundation to play in the North America Regional Qualifier. However, this petition appears to have been denied.

The Cafeteros will play their first match of the South American Regional Qualifiers against the Venezuelan National Team. This seems to be a positive match for the Colombians, thanks to the positive results they’ve achieved against their neighboring country at two of the Juegos Deportivos Centroamericanos y del Caribe Santo Domingo 2026 Online Qualifiers. However, the Venezuelan National Team competing in the 2026 JCC games wasn’t the same as the one selected to represent the Vinotinto in the ENC South American Qualifiers.

Colombia will look to continue its positive track record against Venezuela when they play their First Round best-of-one match of the South American Regional Qualifiers on June 20. The winner of this match will face either Peru or Bolivia, hoping to keep the dream of reaching the ENC Main Event in Riyadh alive.
