The first semifinal match of the
Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 has concluded, with
BNK FEARX advancing to the grand final following a convincing 3-1 victory over
KT Rolster. This Wednesday, the all-LCK showdown delivered high-tempo action across four games, but FEARX's aggressive early-game identity ultimately proved too much for KT to handle.
With this result, BNK FEARX became the first team to lock in a spot in the grand final on October 17. Meanwhile, KT Rolster bow out of the tournament in 3rd-4th place, officially concluding their 2026 competitive season.
BNK FEARX set the tone immediately in Game 1 behind relentless jungle pressure from
Jeon "Raptor" Hyeok-seok on Lee Sin. Raptor consistently found proactive angles across the map, creating massive room for
Lee "Taeyoon" Tae-yoon's Yunara to tear through KT Rolster in mid-game teamfights. While KT struck back in Game 2 by punishing early overextensions from FEARX to snowball the map, that would be their only answer in the series.
The highlight of the match came in Game 3, where
FEARX pulled out an unorthodox draft featuring a jungle Jayce alongside Jhin and a support Camille. Despite the narrow margin for error against KT's traditional setup, FEARX dictated the pace through sharp macro rotations and decisive picks, heavily aided by unforced errors from KT.
Raptor delivered a flawless MVP-worthy performance on the pocket jungle Jayce, finishing the game with a clean 8/0/8 KDA.
Game 4 sealed the series in straightforward fashion for
FEARX. Raptor's Vi dictated the early tempo, allowing FEARX to establish complete map priority from the laning phase onward. Backed by an 11-1 turret differential, a 10.6k gold lead, and a 26-11 kill score, FEARX closed out the game at the 28-minute mark without giving KT Rolster any room to contest.
With the series win secured, BNK FEARX have punched their ticket directly to the grand final, scheduled for October 17 at the Beijing JD Esports Center. There, they will face the winner of tomorrow's second semifinal between
Team WE and
HANJIN BRION. That matchup carries high stakes of its own: Team WE stand as the final LPL squad left in the tournament, while BRION look to set up another all-LCK clash for the title.
