The United States roster for the Esports Nations Cup 2026
VALORANT tournament
was announced on Tuesday by the Esports Foundation. Featuring several players from some of the strongest teams in VCT Americas, the United States fields a particularly experienced lineup made up of regional champions, regular international competitors, and players accustomed to performing under the pressure of the highest level of competition.:
- Jacob "valyn" Batio
- Trent "trent" Cairns
- Zachary "zekken" Patrone
- Logan "skuba" Jenkins
- Nathan "leaf" Orf
- Ethan "Ethan" Arnold
- Matthew "Cryocells" Panganiban
- Josh "JoshRT" Lee
Some of North America's finest talent
On paper, the United States boasts one of the most impressive lineups assembled for the
Esports Nations Cup. The roster is notably built around G2 Esports core trio of valyn, trent, and leaf. Together, they helped establish the organization as one of the dominant forces in the Americas region over the past two seasons, winning all three VCT Americas splits in 2025 as well as

This pre-existing synergy could prove to be a significant advantage in a tournament where national teams generally have limited preparation time. Alongside them, zekken brings the experience he gained with Sentinels, where he established himself as one of the most recognizable players in the North American VALORANT league. Known for his mechanical prowess and ability to deliver in crucial moments, he represents one of the primary offensive threats on this roster.
His profile has also evolved considerably in recent years, demonstrating increasing flexibility following his transition away from a purely Duelist-focused role. Skuba completes the starting lineup after steadily rising through the VCT Americas ecosystem and, in his first season at the highest level, capturing a world championship title with NRG, adding further depth to an already accomplished roster. A two-time
VALORANT world champion, Ethan is expected to serve as a substitute.
Top 1 of the ENC rankings
As a reminder, 16 of the 32 participating nations received direct invitations to the main event. Invitations were determined through a points-based ranking system calculated using the five highest-scoring players selected for each national roster.
- Jacob "valyn" Batio (2400 points)
- Trent "trent" Cairns (2400 points)
- Logan "skuba" Jenkins (2900 points)
- Nathan "leaf" Orf (2400 points)
- Ethan "Ethan" Arnold (2900 points)
With a roster featuring multiple players who have consistently competed at the highest level of international VALORANT, and several who have gone on to win major international titles, the United States ranks first and is invited directly to the main event. Their combination of experience, recent success, and individual talent already makes them one of the leading contenders for the title before the competition has even begun.
