After a disappointing Major, HEROIC has embarked on a major rebuilding process. As part of that effort, Ludvig "
Brollan" Brolin has reached a verbal agreement with the Norwegian organization for the remainder of the 2026
Counter-Strike 2 season, according to sources close to
Sheep Esports. The Swedish leader is expected to support Christoffer "
Chr1zN" Storgaard, the team's current in-game leader, for whom
HEROIC represents his first major experience at the highest level.
During the post-Major roster shuffle, the club announced the departure of analyst Mathias "R0nic" Pinholt and head coach Tobias "TOBIZ" Theo, who had been with the team since June 2025. Alongside those staff changes, HEROIC moved Yasin "xfl0ud" Koç to the bench, while Simon "yxngstxr" Boije decided to step away from the active lineup. To replace them, the Norwegian organization announced on Monday, July 6, the promotion of Joonas "doto" Forss from the academy as the team's new head coach, alongside the signing of Antonio "Martinez" Martínez as its new AWPer. To complete this new direction, Brollan is expected to round out the five-man roster.
After spending more than 900 days with MOUZ, Brollan now finds himself joining a project in need of revival. The German organization enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign, consistently reaching podium finishes despite falling short of lifting major trophies. MOUZ carried that momentum into the start of 2026 with a Top 4 finish at IEM Krakow and a podium at PGL Cluj-Napoca. However, the team's form began to decline after ESL Pro League, culminating in a disappointing 12th-14th place finish at the IEM Cologne Major.
Brollan's departure marks the end of an era for MOUZ, while offering him the opportunity to join a HEROIC side looking to rediscover its former level. The Norwegian organization has struggled to return to the top since losing its core trio to Falcons at the beginning of 2025. After a season that fell short of expectations, HEROIC has begun restructuring its roster, targeting new player profiles in an effort to build a more competitive lineup. The team still managed to secure a place at the Major, qualifying through the European VRS rankings in 16th place, just inside the cutoff, with 17th being the final qualifying spot for the region.
