Falke Esports have been working to reshape the roster ahead of the
Liga Española de League of Legends (LES) Summer Split.
As announced by the organization, top laner Matyáš "Bobsik" Dobeš and mid laner Alexandros "Mentos" Papadimitriou are joining Falke Esports for the upcoming split.
Sources told Sheep Esports that Alejandro "Murci" Carrillo will return as Head Coach after missing the Spring Split. He will replace Gregorio "Shere" Santos Crespo, with whom Falke Esports parted ways with last week. After coaching Falke Esports during the offline LES Kickoff in Madrid, Murci spent the Spring Split leading the organization's academy roster in Circuito Tormenta.
Another roster exception granted
Falke Esports are currently subject to both financial and roster-related sanctions after exceeding the number of roster changes permitted under the league’s regulations, a revealed by LES Esports before the Spring Split.
On March 27, the league published an official statement explaining its decision:
"While the circumstances surrounding the player's departure are acknowledged, the situation is considered to stem from insufficient planning on the part of the team. In particular, the limited duration of player contracts and a possible lack of contingency planning may have contributed to the situation.
As an exceptional measure, the team is authorized to make a third roster change for Split 2. This extraordinary authorization carries the corresponding penalty, meaning that the change will be deducted from the number of roster modifications allowed during the next competitive period (Split 3-Summer)."
On July 3rd, LES released another statement confirming that Falke Esports had once again requested an additional roster change for the Summer Split. The league approved the request in order to preserve the integrity of the competition and ensure that all eight teams would participate during the third split of the season. However, the authorization also carries a larger financial penalty than the previous one due to the organization's repeated breach of league regulations.
