During the interview, the player notably discussed his personal ambitions. The 20-year-old, who joined T1 at the end of last year, hopes to establish himself with the organization over the long term. Regarding his personal goals, Peyz explained that he wants to become a player worthy of representing T1.
"T1 is a team with a lot of prestige, and that comes with high expectations. I don't just want to be remembered as someone who played for T1, I want to be remembered as someone the team truly needed. I want to improve even more and become a player that everyone agrees is worthy of wearing the T1 jersey."
Criticized during his early performances, particularly throughout the LCK Cup, Peyz gradually improved as the season progressed. His partnership with Ryu "Keria" Min-seok was even considered among the best botlanes in the world. However, the team's recent performances have fallen short of expectations, with T1 finishing outside the MSI top four after their elimination against G2 Esports and later falling in the Esports World Cup semifinals against Karmine Corp.
"If we gradually fix our weaknesses and make sure we don't repeat the same mistakes, I am confident that we will move closer to achieving the best possible results," he also explained. With very little recovery time since the end of the Esports World Cup, T1 will now return to competition and will quickly need to prove whether they have found solutions to the issues that have held them back.
