Week 4 of the LEC has ended, and the league has retained all of its suspense on the road to the playoffs.
Rogue and
Vitality both came out on top, defeating
SK Gaming and
Movistar KOI respectively. The results shook up the standings in the middle of the table, leaving every qualification scenario in play.
As we've seen throughout this split, the balance of power between teams keeps shifting each weekend. This time, it was Rogue's turn to turn the tables — thanks to standout individual performances, they pulled off a 2-1 victory against SK Gaming, who likely didn’t expect such resistance. Adam "
Adam" Maanane’s stellar Game 3 Aatrox performance was a highlight, helping Rogue keep their Spring hopes alive. With this win, Rogue is no longer at the bottom of the table and can still realistically aim for a top-six finish in the regular season. SK, on the other hand, stumbled and missed out on a critical third win.
But SK wasn't the only team caught off guard — Movistar KOI was swept 2-0 by a hungry Vitality squad. With a massive top lane gap, Kaan "
Naak Nako" Okan delivered his best series of the split, particularly in game 2. Naak Nako's Sylas counterpick against Alex "
Myrwn" Villarejo’s Gnar took over the game, reducing Myrwn to a shadow of himself. This was a huge win for the bees, ending their three-game losing streak and reigniting their playoff ambitions. They now sit tied with SK and MKOI, making the outcome of upcoming matches even harder to predict.
In a post-match interview, support Yasin "
Nisqy" Dinçer explained, “
The team is more stable than before and can be sharp when we prepare better and put in the effort.” There’s no doubt Vitality came back to life today — it only makes the LEC more exciting to watch.
Looking ahead, MKOI will need to step it up, especially with
their upcoming roadshow in Madrid, where they’ll play two key matches in front of their home crowd against
G2 and
GIANTX. At the top of the table,
Fnatic face their next major test against G2 — a clash that promises to electrify the Madrid crowd. On Monday, we’ll also get some other juicy matchups like Heretics vs SK and Vitality vs BDS to bring a little more light on who will come on top in the Playoffs race.
