Fnatic has secured a 3-1 victory over
Movistar KOI, earning their spot in the lower bracket final. They will now have to face
Karmine Corp in a crucial showdown for a place in the Grand Final, where
G2 Esports awaits. With this result, MKOIās journey in the LEC Winter Split 2025 has come to an end, as they settle for a fourth-place finish after a steady campaignātheir run ending among the leagueās top teams.
As a reminder: Fnatic finished the regular season with an impressive 8-1 record, with only one loss coming in their opening game of the split against MKOI.
The first game of the series was undoubtedly the most contested and exciting to watch. Movistar KOI held a gold lead and had control of the game, with Fnatic's nexus exposed and nearly half HP. Yet, Fnatic managed to defend their base and keep themselves in the game. A few well-timed catches on
Alex "Myrwn" Pastor Villarejo and
Joseph Joon "Jojopyun" Pyun allowed Fnatic to turn the tide, securing the win without having to engage in risky teamfights. The second game went much better for Fnatic, highlighted by
Elias "Upset" Lippās performance on Varus. He was involved in 20 of his teamās 21 kills and stayed alive throughout the entire 29-minute game.
MKOI managed to grab a win, and it was a significant one. The duo of
Javier "Elyoya" Prades Batalla and
Ćlvaro "Alvaro" FernĆ”ndez del Amo played a key role, contributing respectively to 17 and 18 of their teamās 19 kills. In comparison, Fnatic only managed to secure one kill in the entire game. Following that, Fnatic drafted better, picking champions that were simpler to execute, while their map movements became more decisive and precise. With this newfound control, they dominated game four and sealed the series, securing their place in the next round. The German AD Carry, Upset, was named MVP of the series.
The Season One World Champions will now face Karmine Corp in the Lower Bracket Final, with the chance to eventually meet their eternal rivals, G2, whom they previously lost to 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Semifinals.
