The third week of LCK Round 1-2 wrapped up with two exciting Bo3s.
Dplus KIA came out on top against
DRX in a hard-fought series, drawing level with
Hanwha Life Esports and just behind
Gen.G in the standings. Kim "
Aiming" Ha-ram had a standout performance on Miss Fortune, nearly securing a pentakill twice—both times narrowly denied by Heo "
ShowMaker" Su and Choi "
Lucid" Yong-hyeok.
KT Rolster, meanwhile, defeated the still-adjusting
DN Freecs despite their ongoing roster shuffles. Jeong "
Peter" Yoon-su continues to shine as Support, earning today's MVP honors.
With Gen.G at 6-0 and both Dplus KIA and HLE at 5-1, the Top 3 in the LCK is becoming increasingly clear.
BNK FearX,
T1, and
Nongshim RedForce follow behind at 3-3 each. Despite a solid start to their Bo3, DK dropped the first game to DRX after losing a decisive Baron fight, throwing away a 4,000 gold lead past the 40-minute mark.
The rest of the series was all DK. Aiming dominated Game 2 with two quadrakills, narrowly missing a pentakill each time, while Game 3 saw ShowMaker take over completely on Azir, finishing with a 10/1/10 KDA and 28,000 damage. The win moves Dplus KIA into joint second place.
Crisis continues for the Freecs—six games played, six defeats. Against KT Rolster today, Game 1 was total chaos. KT built a 7,000 gold lead only to throw it away, but a clutch Baron fight allowed them to cancel the enemy recalls while winions tore through the Freecs' base. Shin "
Casting" Min-je then teleported in to finish the job and secure match point for KT.
Game 2 was far more controlled, with Moon "
Cuzz" Woo-chan pulling out a surprise Fiddlesticks pick that completely caught the Freecs off guard. Jeong "
Peter" Yoon-su also stood out, playing Poppy and ending with 25 kill participations out of KT’s 27 total kills. KT Rolster now sit 7th in the standings, tied with
OKSavingsBank BRION at 2-4, both teams fighting for the 6th and final playoff spot.
