As with the previous two editions,
League of Legends will once again be a medal event at the
Asian Games 2026, alongside several other titles such as
Honor of Kings, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and
PUBG Mobile. Scheduled to take place from Saturday, September 19 to Sunday, October 4 across Nagoya and the Aichi Prefecture, the new edition will see many Asian nations, including South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam, compete for the highly coveted gold medal. The
LoL event will take place on October 2, with 8 teams qualified for Japan.
Before the final event, a qualifier was held in
Kuala Lumpur from June 12 to 14. Part of the participating teams will therefore be decided in Malaysia, while two nations receive direct invitations (South Korea and Taiwan), similarly to the previous editions. Since the start of 2026, several Asian countries have begun forming their future national teams, while others have already confirmed their non-participation, including host nation Japan, with China, Thailand, and Indonesia among the most notable examples.
The list below represents all participating nations and the players selected for each of them.
