Format reminder
As a reminder, teams that earn three wins will qualify for the Knockout Stage, while those that suffer three losses will be eliminated. From this round on, teams that are one win away from qualification or one loss away from elimination play best-of-three series with Fearless Draft. There is no regional protection, and teams are matched based solely on their records. Matches are set to be played on October 28, 29 and 30.
The draw guarantees China a place in the Knockout Stage. Top Esports and Bilibili Gaming meet in an all-LPL derby, so one of them will be the regionâs first qualified team, while Invictus Gaming can add a second against LYON, the LCSâs second seed. T1 face Movistar KOI in a clash between the three-time defending champions and the LECâs second seed, with the winner joining Gen.G and Dplus KIA.
In the 1-2 matches, Team Liquid Alienware vs. LĂS puts the LCSâs first seed against Brazilâs last representative, with one of them leaving Worlds. G2 Esports vs. Hanwha Life Esports will also eliminate a major name, as the LECâs first seed and the LCKâs second seed meet with their tournament on the line. Karmine Corp take on CTBC Flying Oyster, who are the last LCP team left in the tournament.
