The
VCT Americas season came to an end a few weeks ago with 100 Thieves claiming the Stage 2 title, and with the exception of the four teams that qualified for
VALORANT Champions, the region has already entered its offseason. It is expected to be a particularly busy and intense period, as Riot Games has yet to determine the eight partnered teams that will represent the region. For those who are not selected, competitive play will return in November with the first Open Qualifiers to participate in Kickoff.
As a result, things could develop very quickly over the next few weeks, with a number of players whose contracts are coming to an end already announcing that they are searching for a new team for the 2027 season. Based on the

Sheep Esports has put together a list of all players from teams that have recently competed in the VCT whose contracts are scheduled to expire at the end of the 2026 season.
While the number of players whose contracts are set to expire in November is particularly high in VCT EMEA (around 50), the VCT Americas could be heading into a somewhat quieter offseason. Indeed, only around 20 players are expected to be without a team this November. For the other players, teams will therefore have to be willing to pay buyouts.
Some players whose contracts do not expire this year have also posted messages saying that they are looking for a project for the following year, including KRÜ Esports player Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro and ENVY player Conner "GLYPH" Garcia.
