Team Vitality take down 100 Thieves and will get a rematch against LOUD in Champions Grand Final

As in 2025, the VALORANT Champions final will see an EMEA team face an Americas team. After a high-pressure lower-bracket final, Team Vitality secured their place in the grand final by defeating 100 Thieves 3–1. They will face LOUD once again after losing to the Brazilian side the previous day.

This will be the third meeting between the two teams at the tournament. Drawn into the same group, Team Vitality and LOUD faced each other after winning their opening matches, with the advantage going to the French team. The Brazilians got their revenge in Friday’s upper-bracket final, but the decisive showdown will take place this Sunday, when five players will claim their first-ever Champions title.

Before reaching the final, Vitality had to overcome 100 Thieves, who made the strongest possible start to the series by taking Split, Vitality’s map pick, to go up 1–0. The teams then moved on to Summit, where 100 Thieves had remained undefeated throughout the tournament. However, the Bees bounced back to secure a narrow 13–10 victory, thanks in large part to Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov’s Neon, which proved far more effective than it had been in the previous day’s match against LOUD.

Vitality then took Lotus with one of their new compositions, with Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîtcu delivering an impressive performance on Chamber. The Moldovan rookie had an outstanding series and fully deserved the recognition for his display. On the other side, Timothée “Timotino” Lavigne Dupont and Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban gave everything they had to keep their team in contention. The American even pulled out all the stops to keep 100 Thieves alive on Ascent, another map on which the team excels, but to no avail. Vitality ultimately closed out the series with a 13–9 win.

Vitality will face one final hurdle tomorrow. The French team will be looking to win its first Champions title and even its first international VALORANT tournament. Chronicle will compete in his third Champions final, following appearances in 2021 and last year, with a chance to finally lift his first trophy. Meanwhile, 100 Thieves’ season comes to an end after a highly respectable year in which the American organisation won the Esports World Cup and VCT Americas Stage 2.
