French organization Mandatory are set to add a formidable talent to their roster for next season. Lithuanian duelist Dominykas â
MiniBooâ LukaĆĄeviÄius will join the organization for the upcoming season, sources tell
Sheep Esports. The move marks his return to competitive play after his stint with Team Liquid came to an end following
VCT EMEA Stage 1 this season, when the player announced that he wanted to take a break from competition for a while.
Team Vitality also considered MiniBoo for next season. It was only a consideration, however, as the player was low on the organizationâs list of priorities.
Having been overshadowed by Franceâs three major organizations in the race for a partnership slot, Mandatory remain one of the most prominent teams on the French scene. The organization has fielded exclusively French-speaking players in its regional league. Following that approach, the team reached the Ascension Tournament once, in 2025.
A return to competition
With the new format taking shape, the team has decided to adopt a different approach by bringing in international players, with MiniBoo becoming its first signing. He brings several years of experience at the highest levels of European and international competition. His arrival could help Mandatory build a strong roster capable of challenging for a place at VCT EMEA Kickoff, which could offer a route to Masters Seoul, the first international event of the season.
MiniBoo, meanwhile, is coming off a shorter year than expected. After spending two seasons with Team Heretics, he joined Team Liquid at the start of the year to begin a new chapter in his career. His time with the team was marked by mixed results, including qualification for Masters Santiago but a disappointing Stage 1 campaign.
The player subsequently requested to be benched himself, seeking a break he felt was necessary after several years of competing at the highest level, including a run to the
VALORANT Champions 2024 grand final. He will now return to competition, bringing additional experience and individual talent to Mandatory.
