Sources: Irrelevant and Habubu set to join Berlin International Gaming

Toplaner Joel "Irrelevant" Miro Scharoll and Jungler Seyit "Habubu" Cüce are set to join Berlin International Gaming in the Prime League, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday. Irrelevant was eager to team up with midlaner Steven “RKR” Chen, and his goal is clear: win the league and dominate EMEA to prove he still has what it takes. He felt he didn’t fit well within the BDS environment, so he’s determined to give everything he has at BIG. Neither of them had competed since their LEC split last Spring.

BIG now secures two high-level solo laners with recent LEC experience. Irrelevant spent Winter and Spring 2025 with Team BDS before being replaced by Shin "Rooster" Yun-hwan in Summer. The German toplaner will return to the PRM for the first time since 2020, when he played for Flayn eSports.

In the jungle, they will be joined by Habubu, who did not compete in 2025, with his last experience coming in 2024 with Onyx Ravens in the Arabian League 2nd division. Previously, he made several appearances in lower-tier ERLs, including LFL Div 2 with BK ROG Esports and Team EYA, GLL with Gamespace Mediterranean College Esports, and PRM Div 2 with mYinsanity.

Prime League teams are building increasingly competitive rosters, a trend that should boost both the league’s appeal and its overall level, particularly on the EMEA Masters stage—a tournament largely dominated by the LFL in recent years. Within this context, players such as Felix "Abbedagge" Braun, Janik “JNX” Bartels, Tim "Keduii" Willers, and Irrelevant are joining the league.

For Irrelevant, this marks a redemption arc. His 2024 season with SK Gaming in the LEC was strong, and he became one of the major dominos of last year’s offseason. He ultimately joined BDS, but the year turned into a disappointment for both him and the Swiss organization, as he was benched after two splits.

In 2026, he’ll have to prove he still has what it takes to compete at the top of Europe—either by earning a return next year or even mid-season if a team makes roster changes between splits. As for Habubu, this will be his chance to show he has the level required to play in a major ERL, and he’ll have the right environment around him to do so.
