Gaio" Sousa Ferreira are set to renew their contracts with
, according to sources close to
Sheep Esports. The Portuguese coaching duo has been with the organisation since December 2023 are set to provide their services for yet another year.
Under their guidance, UCAM Esports have had a mixture of results. However, 2026 has definitely been the best year for this coaching duo as the team has consistently performed well in the LES and also qualified for EMEA Masters Winter, Spring & Summer. However, the Spring edition was the only one in which UCAM managed to shine, reaching the semifinals before being eliminated by one of the two ERL powerhouses in 2026, Solary.
Crusher is one of the most iconic and important figures in UCAM Esports’ history in LoL esports. He was the brains behind the team’s golden era in 2021, the year when UCAM lifted their only Superliga/LES trophy. After his departure to Fnatic TQ, he continued to have success up until a disappointing 2022 Summer with Fnatic TQ and 2023 Winter Split with
in the LEC. Crusher returned to the ERLs to coach Finetwork KOI before returning to UCAM for the 2024 season alongside Gaio.
Gaio, on the other hand, had minimal experience in the LPLOL as a Head Coach with BWE Esports. He was picked up by UCAM to be the Assistant Coach alongside Crusher for the 2024 season. Since then, the Portuguese duo have worked magic to make average rosters, on paper, punch far above expectations.
