Sources: Bwipo set to join Estral Esports as toplaner

” Rau is easily one of the most experienced toplaners in the west. In his time on Fnatic, he made it all the way to the 2018 World Finals, and more recently, he had an exceptional two years on FlyQuest, winning championship after championship in NA. Now, having conquered Europe and North America both, Bwipo is joining the Latin American scene, as according to Sheep Esports sources, he’s set to join Estral Esports, the storied Mexican organization currently playing in Brazil’s Tier 2, the Circuito Desafiante.

Bwipo will be joining Estral as toplaner, an important distinction, given his history playing competitively in both the top and jungle roles. That means he’ll be occupying the position held in Split 1 by , as the team moves towards CD Split 2. This roster change comes after a disappointing fourth place finish for Estral in the CD. Estral, which had before nearly qualified to LCS 2026, and had a championship title from the now-defunct LLA, is clearly a team unwilling to settle with top four in Tier 2 play. With a player like Bwipo now in tow, they’ll be eyeing the trophy once more.

Bwipo’s career is one of serious longevity, debuting on Fnatic in 2018 in the EU LCS as Paul “sOAZ” Boyer’s substitute, securing the full starting spot in playoffs after Soaz got injured. His injury-spawned sub-in began a year that would see a meteoric rise for the rookie, picking up two EU LCS championships and a World Finals appearance all in his very first year. Bwipo spent several more years as a top LEC competitor for Fnatic, surprise-roleswapping to jungle briefly in 2021 before leaving the team for the LCS, in which he had a middling 2022 on Team Liquid. After no play in 2023, Bwipo joined FlyQuest, where his career had a major resurgence, as his position leading the all-star squad alongside saw the team pick up three championship titles and make myriad international appearances. On FlyQuest, Bwipo would fall into major controversy, with sexist comments on stream leading to his temporary suspension from the team and some subbing-in of , who still starts for FlyQuest today. Bwipo apologized, and would soon leave FLY and return to Europe, where he’s joined a couple of EMEA masters teams: Witchcraft, an extremely short-lived Los Ratones-inspired project that saw him fill in ’s big shoes, only to be eliminated a few days after the team’s inception, and Forsaken, another EMEA masters contender that brought Bwipo on as a substitute, then also got eliminated.

Now, Bwipo is again back to the Americas, this time in the Latin American scene. Bwipo is Brazilian on his mother’s side, and has fostered something of a fanbase in the Latin American scene. In 2025, he offered to work with LTA South players on coaching. Then, the top reply was from , currently the botlaner on Estral, and seemingly, Bwipo’s new teammate.

With such a stacked roster, Estral will certainly look towards the CD trophy, with a roster that’s, on paper, a shoe-in for the championship.
