According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Algeriaâs VALORANT roster for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 is expected to feature:
- Cista "keloqz" Wassim
- Amokrane "zMART" Ahmed
- Erwann "nysHAA" Gougam
- Nail
- Lalo
The team will be coached by Alaa "Flynn" Nasrallah, Natus Vincere's analyst. From Tier 1 experience to the smallest league, this roster has been built on solid foundations, with keloqz, who has extensive experience, having already played in VCT EMEA and returned to the French league. He is establishing himself as a leader within this team. The rest of the lineup assembles players with proven experience across distinct competitive contexts, such as VCL France and MENA, for nysHAA and zMART.
A disadvantage in terms of points
As a reminder, 16 teams will receive a direct invitation to the main event for the VALORANT tournament. Whether a team will be invited directly to the competition depends on the number of points it has, which is determined by its players' performance: each nationâs standing is determined by the combined points of its five highest-scoring players.
With only 125 points brought by keloqz â according to Liquipediaâs calculations â the Algerian team starts at a disadvantage. The country is currently ranked below 50th position and must therefore go through the MENA & Africa qualifier to participate in the competition. Among the 32 teams set to compete in the final event in Riyadh from November 8 to 15, 16 will receive direct invitations, and two will earn a wildcard spot, while the remaining 14 places will be decided through continental qualifiers, each granting two spots.
