NRG announce the addition of substitutes Shogo and Mixtsure
The currently undefeated team announced that starters Sushee and Spica could miss games due to medical and university-related reasons, respectively.

In the current 2026 NACL Summer Split, NRG tops group A

There’s one final week of the North American Challengers League (NACL) 2026 Summer Split Regular Season before the playoff-qualifying teams are set. However, Group A leaders have announced that Jeremy “” Roussy and Mingyi “” Lu must attend a medical appointment and university-related obligations, respectively.
With the possibility of their starting bot lane missing several games over the next few weeks, NRG have announced the additions of Gil “” Meron and Eric “” Yin as substitute botlaner and support, respectively. Though the team expect their starters to fulfill their duties, the substitutes are expected to fill in when necessary.
The substitutes
The additions of Shogo and Mixtsure were a calculated decision by NRG. In June, both players represented in the 2026 NACL Summer Promotion Tournament. They qualified as the first seed through the Open Qualifiers and looked to take the slot of either or .
According to Leaguepedia, Lotus was the first time that both laners shared a team, but they proved they could stand toe-to-toe with other NACL squads by eliminating AMI 2-0. However, they were unable to defeat Blue Otter to advance to the final NACL 2026 Summer Split Qualification Match.
Promotion contenders?
The current NACL split is heating up with the playoffs just around the corner. NRG feature two former League of Legends Championship Series (LCS) players in Frankie “” Lin and James “” Woo. The roster have lost only one game across four series, secured their spot in the playoffs, and remain one of the favorites to secure one of the two NACL slots in the 2027 LCS Promotion Tournament.
The top two teams from the NACL Summer Split and the top two teams from Latin America’s Liga Regional Norte Split 2 will challenge LCS Guest Slot holders for the chance to earn promotion to North America’s top competition.
