Uzi will succeed Faker as the second inductee, becoming the first Chinese player honored in the Hall of Legends
Jian "Uzi" Zihao has officially been named the second inductee into the League of Legends Hall of Legends. The Chinese icon will be celebrated with a live induction ceremony in Shanghai on June 6, followed by a full in-game event launching June 11 with patch 25.12, including a career-themed battle pass and exclusive cosmetics created in collaboration with the "Mad Dog".
Uzi was selected through a private global vote featuring 50 panelists from around the world, including independent third-party voters from every major region. Riot will also launch the official Hall of Legends website on May 27, where fans can preview the upcoming skins and bundles. As part of the celebrations, Mercedes-Benz will unveil a custom G-Class EV gifted to Uzi, along with a commemorative art piece and other surprises.
A career built on greatness, not just titles
Uzi made his international debut with Royal Club in 2013, and by the end of that year’s World Championship, he had already reached the Grand Finals — a feat he would repeat in 2014. Although the Summoner’s Cup always eluded him, Uzi’s performances cemented him as a world-class player well before he began collecting domestic titles.

It was in his final years with Royal Never Give Up, with whom he spent more than five years throughout his career, that he truly dominated. In 2018, Uzi led RNG through one of the most impressive competitive seasons ever recorded: LPL Spring and Summer titles, as well as a win at the Mid-Season Invitational. That run alone secured his place in LoL history, even as his quest for a Worlds title came up short.
Celebration Plans: Ceremony, Skins, and In-Game Event
Riot is planning a full-scale celebration to honor Uzi’s legacy, similar to what was done for Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok:
- A live induction ceremony will take place in Shanghai on June 6, with fans, media, and former teammates expected to attend.
- An in-game Hall of Legends event will go live on June 11, featuring:
- A career-themed event pass
- Cosmetic items created in collaboration with Uzi
- Highlights and references to key moments in his journey
Uzi and his former teams will also receive a portion of revenue from the pass and bundles. According to the X account @LeagueOfLeaks, the battle pass will feature a Transcendent Kai'Sa skin —a gold-and-black, high-glam redesign with a blonde ponytail and evolving visual effects—as well as a Hall of Legends Vayne skin included with the event pass.
As part of the celebration, Riot’s sponsor, Mercedes-Benz, will create a custom artwork commemorating Uzi’s career, blending real-world and in-game elements. On top of that, Uzi will be gifted a personalized G-Class with EQ Technology, customized specifically for him.
