List of qualified teams for the Rocket League World Championship 2026

Ten years after Cameron "Kronovi" Bills’ iBUYPOWER lifted the first World Championship trophy in Rocket League Esports, the 13th edition of the competition is set to take place from September 15 to September 20. A total of 20 teams from seven regions will face off in a gruelling three-stage format featuring a Play-in, Group Stage and Playoffs. The six-day tournament will take place at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, a venue that has become a second home for Rocket League having previously hosted the competition twice back in RLCS 2021-22 and RLCS 2024.

For the first time ever, the event will feature all three major game modes from Rocket League after Epic Games integrated 2v2 into the RLCS circuit for 2026 following the success of 1v1 in 2025. One team and one player from the four largest regions Europe, North America, MENA and South America will compete in the 2v2 and 1v1 portion of the event, respectively, having qualified through a Regional Open that occurred during the regular season.

The Play-in was introduced in RLCS 2025 as a more budget friendly replacement for the popular Wildcard Stage that was removed after RLCS 2022-23. The stage features eight teams from multiple regions vying for four slots in the next phase of the event. These four teams will join the remaining 12 teams in a Group Stage, where another four teams will exit the event before a 12-team hybrid elimination Playoffs bracket which will determine the winner across the final three days of the tournament. Four teams involved in the Play-In qualified through their regular season ranking and includes the first seeds from Asia-Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa. The other four teams were determined by the Last Chance Qualifiers (LCQ) that took place in the four best performing regions in RLCS 2026, allowing teams that missed out in the regular season to qualify for the World Championship.

With both events only featuring four competitors, the 2v2 and 1v1 World Championships will run concurrently to the 3v3 Main Event. They will both have three series, two semi-final matches and a grand final to determine the winner. 1v1 will begin on September 16, with the grand final to take place on September 18, while 2v2 will begin on September 17 and finish on September 19. Both events offer a substantial prizepool for the participants with $85,000 to be split between the four players competing in the 1v1 event, while $170,000 will be distributed between the 2v2 duos.
