After months of hard work, have reached the top of Europe once again. Having claimed their second consecutive EMEA Masters title by defeating in the 2026 Summer Finals, the squad heads into the offseason on a high, with several of its players attracting attention.
In an exclusive interview with Sheep Esports, EMEA Masters 2026 Summer Finals MVP and Galions ADC reflects on the team's latest triumph, his aspirations of reaching the LEC, and what lies ahead in the offseason.
You've just won your second consecutive EMEA Masters title, while you were still playing in LFL Division 2 last year. With people now talking about a potential move to the LEC, how are you processing everything after this win?
Franciszek "Harpoon" Gryszkiewicz: āRight now, I'm just really excited. There are still a lot of emotions, and I haven't calmed down yet. I'm super happy. We won back-to-back EMEA Mastesr title, and I got MVP of the final, right?
But overall, the past few weeks were really positive, but really exhausting as well, since we only really had a single three-week break this entire year. I haven't really had time to think about the LEC. We were just joking about it in the team and stuff. Regardless, everyone from our team deserves to go to the LEC, probably the entire Solary roster as well.
Right now, I just cannot wait to go back home to rest a bit. It always feels so good to go home as a winner, which I only experienced once in my career. But ending a year on a win is a completely different feeling I had never experiencedāIt feels so fucking good.
How special is it to end the year with a win, especially considering this could be your last game with this roster and your fifth final against Solary?
Harpoon: It was really hype. This is just a lot of good memories I will keep forever. Maybe one day, when Iām a grandpa on my deathbed, Iāll be telling them to my grandchildren. I will think back to this year, how we ended up on a win, and I know there wonāt be any bad memories about it all. Iām just insanely happy.
This year has been exhausting, with very few breaks and a packed schedule. Do you feel like you had to make sacrifices to get there? It feels like you worked even harder than some LEC teams, right?
Harpoon: Well, Iām still just out here playing video games, so I wouldnāt say I sacrificed this much [laughs]. But definitely, I have never worked this hard in my whole career. I put more effort than I had ever had before. So Iām just really happy with myself.
Even if we had lost today, I wouldnāt have felt any regrets. Iāve worked so hard that regardless of the results, I would have felt at peace with it. But since we won, I donāt even have to worry about that possibility. Iām just so happy about this year.
Do you feel like this year has helped you get closer to achieving your dreams? Everyone wishes to one day be real professionals and live off esports. What does winning EMEA Masters and achieving so much this year mean to you?
Harpoon: My dream has always been to play in the LEC. Right now, it feels like I achieved half of that dream, because the best way to live the life of an LEC player is to go through the EMEA Masters and perform on the second tier, right?
We have nothing more to prove. We accomplished everything there was to be done and won our last three finals. Well, we didnāt make it to the WECI finals, but regionally, we did great, right? It feels especially nice considering we lost the first three finals of the year before getting there too.
Looking ahead to the offseason, with rumors already circulating, how confident are you that you'll make it to the LEC? What are your expectations for yourself at that level?
Harpoon: For sure, but I wonāt take it for granted either. I have to keep in mind that I might not make it, right? But overall, Iām pretty confident. Iām confident I can actually compete in the LEC and not be a one-season rookie who gets thrown out after a year. I can fight at a good level against the best ADCs in Europe. I canāt wait to see what happens in the offseason.
How do you feel about the state of the ERL ecosystem and its future for Tier 2 players, given how much it has changed over the past few years?
Harpoon: I would say that this year was overall better than the last, simply because the WSCI was introduced. If it comes back next year, it could mean something really nice for the future and could help the ecosystem in some ways.
The only thing that I find weird is the lack of LAN events. Today was both my last match of the year and the only time I have ever gotten to play at a LAN since I joined the LFL. Playing on stage is what I love. Even if there arenāt that many people, I just love playing in front of a crowd. It feels like breaking your routine in a way.
This is what keeps me going. In the end, those are the moments that make it all worth it. If we were just going to play from an office or at home for my entire career, then that career wouldnāt have been for me. I want to feel the excitement and connect with the fans. I want to be that cheeky guy playing with the crowd, you know?
So yeah, Iām really happy about these finals, and Iām glad we got to end on a win on stage.
So what youāre saying is that youād be a beast on stage, if you make it to Berlin?
Harpoon: Yeah, for sure, especially against teams with a big fan base. It's always fun to play against them, like Solary in the LFL, for example, you know?
What would you like to say to Galions, the team that brought you out of LFL Division 2 in 2025 and helped you win back-to-back EMEA Masters titles? How have they helped you grow as a player and as a person?
Harpoon: I mean, overall, taking me and Nikola "xani" Zrinjski as a package deal was kind of hype [laughs].
From the beginning, Iām really happy about what we managed to achieve. We arrived in Summer 2025 when the team was facing a lot of problems. We then managed to go without any losses in the Summer regular split and get to the LFL finals, even if we choked at EMEA Masters.
Going into the offseason ahead of 2026, I was really happy with how we built this roster. This lineup is just fucking goated, both as people and on the Rift. I feel like we all connected a lot. Itās the best roster Iāve been in, in terms of how good we are, but also how much fun we have outside of the game. Even though we didn't do that much stuff, just talking overall, even after scrims with the guys, it's really happy.
And yeah, I mean, shout out to the Galions fans, to the Galions organization, right? Shout out to Alex. Like Guardiola said, I'm happy. But I'm actually happy, not like Guardiola.ā
