Day two of Round 3 at the 2026
Demacia Cup Global Invitational tested the endurance of the bottom tier. In a Bo3 Round Robin decider, FlyQuest, Shopify Rebellion, and GAM Esports squared off to determine the single surviving roster to advance to Round 4. After three consecutive series, FlyQuest ran the table to secure the lifeline, sending both GAM and SR out of the tournament.
FLY versus GAM: Controlled series for North America
FlyQuest wasted no time putting their slow start behind them, dispatching GAM Esports in a one-sided 2-0 sweep. The VCS roster relied heavily on their standard skirmish setups, but repetitive overextensions early on repeatedly gifted leads straight to FLY. By the 20-minute mark of game two, FlyQuest held soul point and completely choked out the map.
FlyQuest jungler
Johnson “Gryffinn” Le set the tone for the entire day, taking consecutive MVP honors on Wukong and Cho'Gath. Between clean jungle pathing and reliable zoning from
Song "Quad" Su-hyeong’s Orianna, FlyQuest controlled every objective setup to lock in their opening series win.
SR versus GAM: Shopify eliminate the VCS
Thrust immediately into their next match,
GAM Esports showed flashes of mechanical life, but the mental strain proved fatal against Shopify Rebellion. Game one was decided by superior macro patience from SR, culminating in a single mid-lane wipe that cracked the base wide open. Game two devolved into continuous brawling, but SR leveraged a support Amumu pocket pick alongside farmed Olaf and Ezreal cores to seal the 2-0 victory.
Shopify Rebellion’s disciplined cross-map rotations completely negated GAM’s attempts to force teamfights. The clean sweep officially ended GAM’s run in 10th place without a single game victory, while setting up an immediate all-LCS showdown against FlyQuest for survival.
FLY versus SR: Full distance for Round 4 qualification
The North American derby went the full distance, with FlyQuest taking the opener behind a 10,000 gold lead at 25 minutes before SR fired back with an efficient four-dragon, Baron-backed game two. However,
Shopify Rebellion could not maintain that momentum into the decider, faltering early against aggressive invades.
Gryffinn locked in his fourth Swiss Stage MVP award of the tournament, taking over game three on a 6/0/7 jungle Shyvana that SR had no answers for. That standout performance leads all players across the stage as FlyQuest closed out the 2-1 victory to claim the lone qualifying spot from the 0-2 pool, while
Shopify Rebellion exited the tournament in 9th place.
