Caedrel lines up against Max Verstappen at Silverstone (in a kart)

Marc “Caedrel” Lamont is swapping his caster chair for a go-kart seat. The League of Legends co-streamer has been confirmed as one of 100 drivers taking on four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen in “Max vs 100,” a one-off motorsport spectacle from Disney+, ESPN, and Red Bull set for September 16 at Silverstone.

The event will see Verstappen start dead last on a 101-kart grid and attempt to overtake every competitor in what organizers are billing as the biggest go-kart race ever staged. The track has been custom-built for the occasion by karting world champion and race director David Terrien, designed specifically to handle that many karts on track at once while keeping the racing safe and watchable.

Caedrel joins an eclectic lineup that stretches across sports and content creation. Confirmed names include ultrarunner Arda Saatçi, basketball trick-shot specialist Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews, freestyle mountain biker Matt Jones, and fellow streamers TheDonato and TheGrefg, ’ co-founder. The full 100-person field has not yet been fully revealed, with a mix of athletes, creators, and selected fans expected to complete the grid.

For Caedrel, the invitation ties together two sides of his public persona. On stream, he has become League of Legends’ most prominent co-commentator, winning Best League of Legends Streamer at the 2023 and 2024 Streamer Awards, setting a Guinness World Record for the most-viewed simultaneous co-stream of a video game event, and founding and formerly coaching Los Ratones. Off stream, he has long been an outspoken motorsport fan, making the step from analyst to actual competitor against an F1 champion a natural, if extreme, extension of that passion.

The event also plugs Caedrel, and by extension the League streaming scene, into a much broader audience. “Max vs 100” is ESPN’s first major Verstappen-led broadcast since it lost Formula 1 rights to Apple TV after the 2025 season, and Red Bull has shaped the concept specifically to draw viewers well beyond traditional racing fans.

The race will stream live globally on Disney+ as part of existing subscriptions. In the United States, it will also be available live on the ESPN App for ESPN Unlimited subscribers, with a delayed broadcast on ESPN2 later the same day. British comedian Mo Gilligan is set to host the coverage, which will feature live race data, drone footage, and in-race radio comms between Verstappen and the drivers he is chasing.
