Following a successful
VCT Pacific Stage 1 campaign but a far more disappointing showing at
Masters London with two losses in two matches,
FULL SENSE has decided to make a roster change ahead of Stage 2. Chinnakrit “
seph1roth” Phoojaroen, also known as “furiouss” who has been with the team as a substitute since the beginning of Stage 1, is set to be promoted to the starting lineup, sources tell
Sheep Esports.
His arrival in the active roster is expected to send Thanyathon “Leviathan” Nakmee to the bench and trigger a reorganization of roles within the team. seph1roth will take over Controller duties, while Thanamethk “Crws” Mahatthananuyut will transition to a full-time Sentinel role.
seph1roth gets his first chance in VCT
Both Leviathan and seph1roth were already members of FULL SENSE last year when the organization competed in the VCL. Leviathan was the only player from that roster to make the transition to VCT, while seph1roth began the season with Sharper Esports. Before Stage 1, FULL SENSE brought back their former player as a substitute, keeping him available should changes become necessary if the starting roster failed to meet expectations.
Following the limitations exposed by the team’s recent performances at Masters London, FULL SENSE has ultimately decided to give seph1roth an opportunity in Stage 2. The Thai squad had seemingly found its footing during Stage 1, producing an impressive playoff run that ended with a defeat to Paper Rex in the grand final. Since then, however, the team has suffered five consecutive losses, resulting in failure to qualify for the Esports World Cup and an early elimination during the Masters play-ins.
Those disappointing results have prompted FULL SENSE to make their first roster adjustment of the season in an effort to regain momentum and improve performances. Stage 2 is set to begin on July 16, and with a total of seven championship points, FULL SENSE currently sits among the region’s top four teams, a position that would secure qualification for Champions. However, the team will need to maintain its standing throughout Stage 2 to avoid being overtaken in the race for qualification.
