Brazilian esports appears to have formed a major strategic alliance for the
Esports Nations Cup 2026. According to information reported by
The Esports Radar, the country’s leading organizations,
including Fluxo W7M, FURIA, LOUD, MIBR, paiN Gaming, and Red Canids, have joined forces to submit a joint bid to the Esports World Cup Foundation. This coalition aims to secure official national partner status to represent Brazil at the global competition scheduled for next November in Riyadh.
Why become an official national partner?
To structure this ambitious initiative, the group is said to have appointed Yuri “
Fly” Uchiyama as
National Team Manager, he's currently the CEO of Gamers Club and former president of MIBR. If the alliance secures official status, his role will be to oversee the appointment of coaches by discipline and lead the selection of athletes, while ensuring the development of the local ecosystem in line with the ENC’s institutional framework.
By becoming the country’s official partner, this group of clubs would gain access to major strategic advantages, including full logistical support from the EWCF and eligibility for the development fund valued at 20 million dollars per year. This collaborative bid model directly aligns with the foundation’s recommendations, which favor applications bringing together several major industry stakeholders in order to ensure operational stability and maximum legitimacy.
OverActive behind a Spanish and a Canadian bid
This Brazilian alliance is part of a broader global movement, as previously reported
by Sheep Esports. Major bids for the United Kingdom and Canada have also been announced, combining national federations with local esports giants. The British Esports Federation is relying on the expertise of Fnatic and the support of the English Football Association to form a unified Great Britain team, while Esports Canada is working with OverActive Media, owner of the Toronto Ultra, to combine institutional legitimacy with operational strength.
As an additional note,
Adam Adamou, CEO of OverActive and owner of KOI, has also announced on X his support for a Spanish bid bringing together several major names, even though the identities of all stakeholders have not yet been disclosed.
More applications around the world
The
ESKF, Esports Kenya Federation, has also announced its intention to apply for Kenya, as has esportbond.nl, the Dutch esports association, which confirmed its candidacy for the
Netherlands. The Esports Radar also revealed in an article the Polish bid led by arrMYgg, in partnership with the player agency ProPlayers and ZW Agency, appointed Jakub Kubiak, COO of arrMYgg, as National Team Manager to oversee performance and the delegation’s content strategy.
The selection process has now entered a technical evaluation phase following the close of applications at the end of January. The foundation is currently reviewing the various national proposals before announcing the selected national partners during March 2026. If the applications are approved, the delegations will have only a few weeks to submit their technical staff before finalizing their full rosters ahead of the April 26 deadline.
