Since its release on April 18, the game “Rolol Gamos” has quickly become a hit among fans of League of Legends. The game has even attracted professional players and fans from around the world.
The game mode originates from the community website
lolix.gg, created by the team of French streamer Jean “
TraYtoN” Medzadourian. The platform has existed since the beginning of the year and already includes several game modes as well as tools for following competitions such as the LEC and the LCK. A few days ago, one of the site’s developers, known as
“Gulli,” created a new game mode inspired by a game called
Rolol Gamos, in which two opponents compete against each other.
The rules
Matches usually last only a few minutes and begin when the website generates the name of a professional League of Legends player. From there, one of the two players must name another pro who has previously played on the same team as that player. If they succeed, their opponent must then name a player who has played with the newly mentioned player. The process continues back and forth until one of the players becomes stuck and can no longer name a valid teammate connection.
The winner earns points to climb the game’s ladder ranking, while the loser loses points. Like in a competitive ladder system, players can continue playing in order to climb as high as possible on the leaderboard. The new mode has achieved remarkable popularity in only a short time, attracting more than 4,500 players within a few days. Even professional players have tried it, enjoying the novelty of being able to use themselves and former teammates as valid answers—sometimes uncovering surprising connections.

How to play?
The game is accessible to anyone who registers on lolix.gg and links their Twitch account to the site. Once on the website, click on “Mini-Jeux” (Mini-Games) at the top left of your screen, then on “Multijoueur” (Multiplayer). You will then have the option to select the mini-game Rolol Gamos.
Click on Multijoueur and then select Rolo Gamos.
You can then choose a random opponent or invite a friend. To add a friend, type their Twitch username into the search bar, then click on “Ajouter en ami” (Add Friend) on the right side of your screen.
