Locking in the project for 2026
After a 2025 season in which Team Heretics lifted the VALORANT Esports World Cup trophy, they established themselves as one of the most consistent contenders in EMEA. They went the entire year without dropping a single loss in the EMEA group stage, qualified for two out of three international events, and finished fifth–sixth after falling to the top four against Paper Rex at Champions Paris. The organisation is therefore choosing continuity over overhaul heading into VCT 2026. Rather than dismantling a proven line-up, Team Heretics are keeping the same core members, making only one significant adjustment as they prepare for another year of competition at the highest level.
The 2026 starting roster will feature Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius, Enes "RieNs" Ecirli, Mert "Wo0t" Alkan, Benjamin David "benjyfishy" Fish, and the one who will replace Dominykas "MiniBoo" Lukaševičius, the new addition to the TH roster, Berkcan "ComeBack" Şentürk. Boo remains the In-Game Leader and structural anchor of the team, while Wo0t and RieNs continue in their established roles, providing explosive entry potential and flexible utility. benjyfishy, who fully transitioned into VALORANT with Heretics and became a reliable anchor on Sentinel, stays on as a key piece of the core, giving the organisation four returning starters with extensive tier-one experience together.
A new layer of firepower
ComeBack completes the five-man lineup as the only new addition for the 2026 campaign, joining Heretics after a standout year in Challengers and a late-2025 move into VCT EMEA with Gentle Mates for Stage 2. Known for his aggressive Jett and Neon play, the Turkish Duelist arrives off the back of multiple tier-two titles and, bringing a fresh layer of pace and initiative to an already cohesive system. His integration alongside Wo0t gives Heretics access to a double-Duelist look when the meta allows, without sacrificing the structure built around Boo’s calling.
Stability on the coaching side further underlines Heretics' long-term approach to the project. Head coach Neil "neilzinho" Finlay and coach Brandon "weber" Weber, who steered the team through its 2024 resurgence and 2025 title run, remain in place alongside performance staff, giving the roster a familiar framework and philosophy to operate in as they head into another packed VCT calendar. With this move made just before the start of the TEN VALORANT Global Invitational 2025, Heretics has given itself the opportunity to measure itself against international teams before even beginning pre-VCT 2026 training with their new player.
With their core secured, a single high-upside addition locked in, and a coaching staff that already understands how to get the best out of this group, Team Heretics enter VCT EMEA 2026 not as a rebuilding project, but as an established contender looking to extend their peak for another season.
