Steeelback comes back to LFL
Skillcamp are set to assemble a new competitive roster for the upcoming LFL Invitational. After a season in LFL Division 2 that yielded few standout results, the organization has opted to overhaul its lineup entirely, replacing all five players. The new roster will notably feature three experienced players who competed together last year, alongside a young toplaner.
As a result, the team’s lineup for the upcoming season is expected to consist of Szymon "yeti" Wójcicki, Miroslav "Spooky" Gochev, Andrija "Nafkelah" Kovačević, Matthew "Deadly" Smith, and Pierre "Steeelback" Medjaldi, sources tell Sheep Esports on Tuesday.
A Caldya Esports core
Among the players in this new lineup, Steeelback, Spooky, and Nafkelah already competed together last season. They began the year with Valiant, where they notably won the Spring Split. However, due to financial difficulties, the organization disbanded, prompting the players to look for a new project while remaining together. They subsequently joined Caldya Esports, though they ultimately failed to qualify for the Up & Down.
As for the remaining two players, Deadly competed with Joblife last year, where he posted fairly underwhelming results. Nevertheless, he remains a highly experienced ERL AD carry, having previously played in both the Superliga and the NLC. Yeti will also join the team as its toplaner. At just 18 years old, he has already gained experience in the Ultraliga in 2024 and in the TCL last season, playing the Spring Split with BBL Dark Passage and the Summer Split with The Forbidden Five.
Skillcamp therefore enter the competition with a notably experienced roster, highlighted by Steeelback, who has spent six years in the LFL, including three with Solary. Nafkelah also previously spent a year in the French league with AEGIS before the organization withdrew. Although Skillcamp did not achieve high results last year, never qualifying for the playoffs, the team is raising its ambitions with this new roster. The stakes are high for the structure: under the new competition format, a top-two finish among non-LFL teams at the Invitational would secure promotion to the first division for the remainder of the season. Failing that, the team will compete in the Nexus League, the new name of the second division, for the remainder of the season. With this brand new roster, the team will face ZYB for a scrim this Tuesday.

- Midlaner: Andrija "Nafkelah" Kovačević
