Vincenzo will make his debuts in LCK
After a few years spent in LCK Challengers League and LCK Academy, Jungler Ha "Vincenzo" Seung-min will be joining the biggest Korean league. He will join DRX for his rookie year in the LCK, sources tell Sheep Esports on Monday.
He will replace Bae "Sponge" Young-jun, who was the team's jungler for the past two seasons. DRX continues its reconstruction for the next season with a new young profile who has proven himself with T1's academic team this season, notably winning the Asia Masters, which T1 Esports Academy won.
DRX is also expected to have more roster changes this offseason.
The big leap for Vincenzo
The young jungler started his career in the LCK Academy in 2022 with SANDBOX Gaming Academy before being promoted the following year to the LCK CL team. He then joined BRION Challengers, where he mostly played in the LCK Academy before joining T1's academy this year.
He had a good season with the team, distinguishing himself as one of the best players in the league on several occasions. His team took third place in LCK CL by being eliminated from the lower bracket final by FEARX Youth. Vincenzo won 8 MVPs throughout the regular season and playoffs, the second-best total on his team behind Sin "Smash" Guem-jae (9).
He then won the Asia Masters without conceding a defeat with T1 and crushing the final 3-0 against DRX Challengers. Vincenzo maintained the same level of performance and now sees his efforts throughout the year rewarded with a promotion to the LCK, which he will therefore discover at the age of 21.
A new hope for DRX?
After another complicated season, DRX still dreams of returning to the top of the LCK standings. The former 2022 world champions are continuing their team rebuild after finishing second-to-last in the latest LCK Season with just 9 wins and 21 losses. The team, which has already parted ways with Kang "Kyeahoo" Yea-hoo and Park "Teddy" Jin-seong, will strengthen itself by betting on a rookie, while other changes are also expected to accompany this one.
