Global Esports keeps its rebuilding
Global Esports continue to be active during this offseason. After a complicated start in its first years in VCT Pacific, the Indian organization found an agreement with Kale “autumn” Dunne a few days ago, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. Per sources, Xavier "xavi8k" Juan is now expected to be the second player secured by the club for the year 2026. The Filipino-American played for NAOS Esports last year and competed in the Ascension Pacific with his team, failing to qualify for Tier 1.
A new but experienced profile
As a seasoned player in the Southeast Asian region, xavi8k began his career in 2021 in VCT Philippines. He has played for several teams throughout his career, including Oasis Gaming from 2023 to 2024 and NAOS Esports in 2025. Despite this, he has never yet had the opportunity to shine on the Tier 1 scene. He has already served as an IGL in the past and has remained relatively flexible with his agents, with a majority of Initiators.
Last year, he performed on the Southeast Asia stage and competed in the Ascension as the third seed from his region. Despite a promising start, the team ended with three consecutive losses and was eliminated. Despite this failure, xavi8k still maintained a good level during the competition. He remained the most statistically efficient player on his team during the competition.
A new global face
After a mediocre season in terms of results, Global Esports are looking to create a new, more successful team. With only three BO3s won throughout the year in VCT, the team didn't really have the opportunity to shine. However, they came within one BO3 (lost against DRX) of qualifying for the Esports World Cup. Since its debut in VCT, the organization has not yet had the chance to qualify for the playoffs of a single split.
