The world champions recruit one of the best prospects in EMEA
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Georgio “keiko” Sanassy has reached a verbal agreement to join NRG for the 2026 VALORANT VCT Americas season. keiko signed with Team Liquid after performing well in Tier 2, but then lost the Ascension 2023 final to Gentle Mates with Apeks. By joining Team Liquid in November 2023, he climbed the EMEA ladder and was revealed as one of the best aimers in the league.
Recruited at the beginning for his Duelist skills, keiko has shown great flexibility in his choice of agents and has mainly ended up playing Controller and utility roles such as Brimstone and Omen under Ayaz " Nats" Akhmetshin's lead during the 2025 season. keiko has always made a difference at key moments; he was a central figure in Team Liquid's victories in 2025.
He helped the team qualify for the Masters in Toronto in June, then returned to compete internationally at Champions 2025 after Team Liquid won the EMEA Stage 2 title. However, Liquid exited Champions in the group stage after suffering defeats, including a 0-2 loss to DRX is ending the tournament in the 9th–12th place.
A resilient and rewarding season
After a difficult year, NRG closed the year as world champions, defeating Fnatic 3–2 in the Grand Final at Champions Paris. Their title run was unexpected, given that they faced the world's best teams, such as DRX, whom they defeated 2–1 in the playoffs, and EDward Gaming, the 2024 World Champions, whom they defeated 2–0 in the group stage. They had a flawless run, dropping only four maps throughout the entire tournament and losing zero matches.
NRG enabled their In-Game Leader, Ethan "Ethan" Arnold, to become the first VALORANT player to hold two World Champions titles. keiko is a young player who can learn from experienced veterans like Ethan and the experienced staff.
With Sam “s0m” Oh's recent departure announced on X by NRG, Keiko's arrival would add an established international Controller from the EMEA region.
