More firepower for Barça
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Kajus "Kajuks" Skurvydas has reached a verbal agreement with Barça eSports ahead of the 2026 Challengers Spain season. He will be joining a project that is going through a complete rebuild, with only Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego retained from what was a complicated campaign in the Iberian league this year, alongside the current coaching staff. This move follows the recent additions of Antonio "Guardy" Guardiola and Albert "stonezy" Makushev, both of whom were also reported by Sheep Esports earlier this week.
Without a permanent home since early May, the Lithuanian player now looks set to finally secure a stable project for 2026 after years of bouncing between different clubs and temporary rosters. He was active in Challengers East in 2024 and later competed with Cicadas Gaming in France this year, continuously taking part in any competition he could. Through all these experiences, he has built up a wide arsenal of agents, while consistently posting strong numbers, particularly when fielded on Duelists or on his reliable Cypher.
Clear direction
Much like with stonezy, Barça appears to be constructing its new roster around high-impact profiles, players capable of taking over a map on their own and putting constant pressure on their opponents. After finishing sixth in Split 1, Barça failed to progress beyond the group stage with only two wins, six losses, and one draw. That disappointment was followed by an even tougher Stage 2, where the team slumped to ninth place and was forced into the relegation tournament in order to keep its spot in the league.
Barça did manage to pull through that Up&Down event, successfully defending their place, and later bounced back in Split 3 with a correct Top 3/4 finish and a playoff run. The year overall highlighted the inconsistency of the roster and led the organization to pursue major changes. Still, the ambitions of the club remain as high as ever, and the arrival of Kajuks is seen as another step toward building a squad capable of competing at the very top.
