The French organization Galions is set to make its debut in the VALORANT Challengers League France next season, sources tell Sheep Esports on Saturday. The team is expected to take over the slot previously held by Karmine Corp Blue Stars, following KCBS’s decision to withdraw from the league.

Galions enters the scene already well prepared, as the team has secured its head coach for the upcoming season. The position will be filled by Adil "elemeNt" Maufroid, who has been active in the VALORANT ecosystem for several years. The organization will begin its trials next week to construct its new roster for next year.

Galions, a new pillar of the French scene?

Previously known as Team GO, Galions emerged last year from a merger between the organization and French streamer Maxime "Sixen" Tchoroukian, who became the new CEO of the structure. The team had already laid the groundwork for its project on League of Legends, notably reaching the quarterfinals of the EMEA Masters Summer. Today, Galions takes a new step by joining the French VALORANT league, solidifying its growing presence in the national ecosystem. The organization now joins Joblife as one of the few structures competing in both of Riot Games’ major French leagues.

The team will inherit the spot occupied last season by KCBS. Karmine Corp had launched this academy roster with the objective of developing young players for the future. After one year, however, the organization chose to withdraw from the competition to refocus on other projects.

To bring its new project to fruition, Galions has opted for an experienced coach. ElemeNt, who already competed in VCL France last year, previously joined Valiant and—despite mixed results—won Split 2 after defeating KCBS in the final. The team then struggled to perform in VALORANT Challengers EMEA. Galions has nevertheless placed its trust in elemeNt for this new endeavor, as the organization enters a competitive league that notably sent two teams—Joblife and Mandatory—to the Ascension tournament last year.
