Toplaner Sebastian "Tracyn" Wojtoń will be promoted to Team Heretics’ LEC roster, as announced by the organization on its official X account. This marks the team’s second roster change following the arrival of Tolga "Serin" Ölmez and the appointment of a new coaching staff led by Jonas "Hidon" Vraa as head coach.

Koreans toplaners and a contract until 2027

Last month, Sheep Esports reported that Team Heretics would not continue with Carl "Carlsen" Carlsen and that Tracyn was already being considered as his replacement at that time. While the news is now official, sources have shared with Sheep Esports additional context surrounding this movement.

During the offseason, Team Heretics also explored other toplaner options, including Baek "Mihile" Sang-hwi (Misa Esports) and Kim "Zest" Dong-min (Bushido Wildcats). The Spanish organization ultimately negotiated a contract extension with Tracyn to promote him to the LEC roster. With the extension, reportedly adding one more year and running through 2027, Tracyn’s spot in the LEC is now secured. As for Mihile, he remains in talks with both LEC and LCS teams and still has a chance to join a Tier 1 roster.

A new bet from the academy

Last year, Team Heretics opted to build a project centered around young talent, fielding three rookies. Among them, Carlsen had joined from the academy team Los Heretics after a year in the Superliga. Despite showing promise at times and demonstrating steady improvement throughout the season, Team Heretics ultimately deemed his performance insufficient to retain him for the upcoming LEC season.

While Carlsen is set to join Galions in the LFL, Heretics will replace him with another player promoted from its academy. Having joined the Spanish organization on a two-year contract, the 20-year-old Polish toplaner quickly established himself as one of the top players in his position within the ERLs. He delivered a strong, well-rounded season, helping his team secure the Superliga Winter Split title. Although that was Los Heretics’ only trophy this year, the roster nonetheless qualified for every edition of the EMEA Masters. The team reached the EMEA Masters Summer Finals but was ultimately outclassed by Karmine Corp Blue.

Despite that disappointing conclusion, Tracyn’s efforts throughout the year have been rewarded with a well-deserved promotion to the main roster. With this new addition, Team Heretics’ 2025 lineup is nearly complete. Only the AD Carry and jungler positions remain to be finalized before the roster is fully assembled.
