The jungle-support duo from Veni Vidi Vici is joining Movistar KOI Fénix together
Jungler Tiago "Time" Almeida, support Tomislav "Thomas" Nanjara, and head coach Jorge "Disgrace" López are set to join Movistar KOI Fénix in the Superliga, according to Sheep Esports sources. The organization paid the buyouts for both players, who have been playing together at Veni Vidi Vici since the start of 2025. As for coach Disgrace, he's returning to the team where he spent the past year, after only a few months away from coaching. Notably, Time attracted significant interest from UCAM Esports as well as several Brazilian squads competing in the LTA Sul.
A new strategy
After two splits where Movistar KOI Fénix failed twice in the Swiss Stage, the academy team still hasn’t found the right formula, despite changing support between Winter and Spring, as Kamil "kamilius" Košťál was replaced by Erik "Treatz" Wessén. This time, the team is making changes in two key roles that are crucial to synergy and team coordination: the jungle-support duo. And the new arrivals make sense — Time and Thomas know each other well, having played together since the Summer Split 2024 at Veni Vidi Vici.
As for the coaching staff, the team is bringing back Disgrace. The Spaniard coach was with Movistar Riders as an assistant coach during the period when the team won both LVP splits, before falling to Karmine Corp in the Summer EMEA Masters final. He later coached Movistar KOI in the LVP during the 2024 season, though with less success.
An already established duo
For the 22-year-old Portuguese jungler, the career path is a bit more developed. He began back in 2019 in the LPLOL, playing for teams like Boavista FC, EGN Esports, and OFFSET Esports. More recently, in 2023, he won both splits of the Portuguese league with GTZ Esports, qualifying for both EMEA Masters that year. After a brief stint in the Greek league at the start of 2024 with WLGaming Esports, he signed with Veni Vidi Vici in the Spanish second division for the Summer Split, which they won—earning promotion to the Spanish first division.
As for the Croatian support, he also had a spell with OFFSET Esports in the LPLOL before moving on to various German teams in Prime League Division 2. He then joined Klanik Esports for the Summer 2023 Split in LFL Division 2, followed by BeFive in the Esports Balkan League (EBL), where he won the Spring Split 2024. He signed with Veni Vidi Vici at the same time as Time. The duo will now continue playing together at Movistar KOI Fénix, aiming for a stronger Summer Split and, at the very least, a spot in the playoffs.
