Visa issues leaves a gap open on LYON
According to sources close to Sheep Esports, toplaner Jett Michael "Srtty" Joye is set to join LYON in the LTA North. He will be playing over Frankie "Zamudo" Lin, LYON's new rookie toplaner, who is unfortunately still dealing with visa issues.
Srtty last played on Dignitas, having joined that team ahead of the 2025 season. There, he was touted as the future of NA toplane, but left the team after only two splits, suggesting a difficult team environment in a Dignitas social media statement. Now, the carry top is back, on a new team, for at least the duration of Zamudo’s absence.
LYON’s previous temporary replacement for Zamudo, Gerardo “Yayo” Bijani, underperformed in his LTA North debut last week. Yayo had little successful experience even in lower tier NA play, a stark contrast to Srtty, who is a CLOL champion and multiple-time high-ranking NACL player. Srtty is also well-known for his performance in solo queue, where he’s hit Rank 1 on the ladder repeatedly.
Srtty and the rest of his new teammates will be playing against Team Liquid on Saturday. This opportunity represents the player’s second chance at the LTA North, and a second chance for LYON to pick up a win, after last week’s 0-2 loss to Cloud9 with Yayo in tow. Whether or not that opportunity will pan out is to be seen.
