Skeanz gets a second chance in LEC after winning three splits in TCL
A new jungler is making his return to the number one league in EMEA. Duncan "Skeanz" Marquet has reached a verbal agreement with SK Gaming in the LEC and will become their new jungler for the Summer Split, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. Initially still under contract with Papara Supermassive until the end of the year, SK paid a 15,000€ buyout to secure the services of the Frenchman. He will replace Mehdi "Boukada" Lahlou, who is heading to Team BDS.
The other main option of the German squad was Francisco "Thayger" Mazo, who eventually joined Natus Vincere, as previously reported by Sheep Esports. Dimitar "Leb" Kostadinov, currently playing for Berlin International Gaming, has also been considered. SK also held preliminary talks with Lanzo "Zicssi" Ciajolo, the jungler for Gentle Mates, but those discussions didn’t progress further. With this move, Skeanz leaves the TCL and Papara Supermassive, a team currently embroiled in legal issues threatening their financial stability. The Turkish team had initially reached a verbal agreement with Doğukan "113" Balcı to fill the role, but they are now left without a jungler for the time being.
Four years in ERLs to get a second chance
Skeanz thus returns to the LEC after four years in ERLs. The French jungler had a long run with Team Vitality between 2019 and 2022, a period filled with both highlights and setbacks. Back then, Vitality often promoted players from its LFL team into the main LEC roster, though many struggled to perform at the top level due to limited adjustment time. Skeanz’s record in the LEC was mixed: 10th in Spring 2020, 9th in Summer 2020—a split in which he only played the second half, replacing Cantoursna "Nji" An—and 10th again in Spring 2021.
Since then, Skeanz has rebuilt his career and earned a second shot at the top. Reintegrated in Vitality.Bee in Summer 2021, he also competed in the LFL throughout 2022, culminating in one of the club’s few trophies in League of Legends: the Coupe de France 2022, where they swept LDLC OL and Thomas "3XA" Foucou 3-0, a team that had dominated the league all year. He later had a short stint with Karmine Corp in the LFL alongside Lucas "SAKEN" Fayard, his longtime teammate from Vitality. However, they fell short of expectations, crashing to 9th place—still the worst split in KCorp’s LFL history.

Skeanz then left France for Turkey, joining Papara Supermassive at the start of 2024 and finally hitting his stride. He wrote the most successful chapter of his career so far by winning the TCL season opener, followed by back-to-back split victories that year, asserting total dominance. He was even named MVP of the Winter Split during his first split in the league, and went on to win a third straight split in Winter 2025. Despite a weaker Spring 2025 mainly due to botlane changes, Skeanz stood out enough to attract the attention of SK Gaming, earning a second shot at the LEC stage.
A last chance to avoid 9th place in 2025
At 24 years old, Skeanz returns to the LEC and takes Boukada’s spot in SK Gaming’s roster for the Summer Split. He becomes the team’s third jungler this year, with a new face in every split. He joins a roster that just overhauled its entire topside during the intersplit offseason, welcoming Park "DnDn" Geun-woo in the toplane and Felix "Abbedagge" Braun in the midlane. Earlier this year, Tim "Keduii" Willers had already joined just before the start of the Spring Split, making Kim "Loopy" Dong-hyeon the only player to remain with SK for the entire season.
Far from stable, the organization continues to rebuild at every split, giving chances to ERL veterans and rising talents. Though not a historically dominant force in the LEC, SK Gaming will at least aim for a playoff qualification this Summer and improve on their two 9th-place finishes from Winter and Spring.
