A new strategic addition to BDS' line-up!
Coach Rahul "Ruuxi" Nanda has reached an agreement with Team BDS in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC), according to Sheep Esports sources. Making his first entry into the region, the American coach will be working as an assistant to Yanis "Striker" Kella, who was recently promoted as the team's head coach.
BDS, Bolstering its Coaching Staff
Unbeknownst to most European fans, Ruuxi is set to make his debut in the LEC this winter. Still in the early years of his career, he is most notable for his tenure with Rainbow7 in the LLA. With the team, Ruuxi reached 1st place in the spring of 2022's group stage before finishing the playoffs in 3rd position.
Prior to his time with R7, the coach made a name for himself by working for various teams in the North American amateur scene. Notably, he worked with Dignitas Mirage, a collaboration between Mirage Esports and the LCS team Dignitas.
Taking a hiatus from professional coaching in 2023, Ruuxi wasn't on most teams' radar this off-season. Despite sources suggesting that he received minimal interest in his home region, the American coach impressed multiple European teams during this year's transfer period. Producing content on YouTube since 2020, Ruuxi has caught the attention of two major teams.
This off-season, sources revealed that Karmine Corp expressed interest in Ruuxi, considering him a top candidate for the role of assistant coach of their LFL academic division. Now settled with BDS, he is set to join Yanis "Striker" Kella and help strengthen the LEC team's line-up.
