Ragner returns to the TCL after four years in LFL
One of Turkey’s prodigies is coming back home. After four strong years in the LFL, where he established himself as one of the best in his role and lifted several trophies, Onurcan “Ragner” Aslan is joining MISA Esports in the Turkish Championship League (TCL), as announced by the club. He will replace Baek “Mihile” Sang-hwi, currently teamless this offseason, in the lineup of the reigning TCL champions.
Do you think MISA Esports can bring the EMEA Masters title back to the TCL for the first time since spring 2023?
Ragner has long been known as one of the toplane powerhouses across the European Regional Leagues. Despite drawing interest from several LEC teams over the past few years, he never made the final step to the top-tier league. Instead, he remained a cornerstone of some of the LFL’s most ambitious projects: LDLC OL in 2022 (his standout year with two split titles and an EMEA Masters final run), Team GO with a Coupe de France victory, Gentle Mates during their debut LFL season, and more recently Galions in 2025, a team that came close to a perfect split last summer before being swept by Karmine Corp Blue in the grand final.
He now returns to the Turkish league, where he also spent the early four years of his career—but without ever claiming the title. This might be the year to make up for that missed opportunity, as MISA’s roster looks built to dominate and win everything in sight.
A Championship-Caliber Project
MISA Esports’ project has the makings of a top-tier roster. The toplaner joins an ambitious lineup combining high-level experience and fresh synergy: former LEC player Doğukan “113” Balcı in the jungle, reigning EMEA Masters and LFL champion Seo “SlowQ” Ye-bit at midlane, and a Korean botlane duo reuniting for the first time outside South Korea after winning every possible title with KT Rolster Challengers in 2024 with Byeon “Hype” Jeong-hyeon and Han “Way” Gil.
The TCL has only claimed one EMEA Masters title so far—back in Spring 2023 with Istanbul Wildcats—but this year could mark the end of that drought for a region that has consistently produced strong rosters and showcased exceptional talent over the years.
