Two well-known figures from the French League of Legends scene could take part in the upcoming LFL split. Yasin "Nisqy" Dinçer and Jean "TraYtoN" Medzadourian are each trying to build a roster to fill the two influencer-team slots reserved for the LFL Winter Invitational, sources tell Sheep Esports.
As previously reported by
Sheep Esports,
the new Winter Split format will take the shape of a completely redesigned 20-team tournament, with two of those slots specifically allocated to “influencer teams.” These two rosters could be headed respectively by professional player Nisqy and former player, broadcaster, and streamer TraYton.
To recap, seven LFL teams, eight LFL Division 2 teams, and three Game Changers teams are also expected to participate in the event. All of these teams—along with the influencer teams—will have the opportunity to qualify for the remainder of the LFL season as well as for the EMEA Masters.
Two famous personalities of French League of Legends
There is no doubt that the involvement of two prominent members of the French-speaking scene would add excitement to the upcoming edition. A long-time professional player, Nisqy had limited opportunities to compete this season. He role-swapped from midlane to support ahead of the Spring Split in hopes of securing a position with
Team Vitality, but the project lasted only a single split.
He was later signed by Karmine Corp as a substitute midlaner but did not play during the Summer Split, up until the team’s elimination. However, Nisqy has always been a strong streaming personality in France, and this new project should match well with his mixed skills.
TraYton, meanwhile, previously competed in the LFL—most notably with Vitality.Bee in 2019—before transitioning to streaming and casting for the French broadcaster OTP. He remains well-known for organizing events such as the
SoloQ Challenge. Last year, he worked as a
content creator for G2 Esports and secured co-streaming rights for the
LEC,
LCK, and
LPL. He could now return to the LFL for a new adventure within a format and tournament that still holds many surprises.
While their final rosters are still unknown, one of them is expected to bring back several familiar faces for LEC and French fans.
