Legolas and Barça reached the EMEA Masters final in the Spring, lost to Los Ratones
The Barcelona elf will remain with the team for a third consecutive year. Sergio "Legolas" Vicente Gispert is set to stay with Barça eSports for the 2026 season, sources tell Sheep Esports on Sunday. He will therefore enter his third straight year with the club after securing his first title this year in the Spring Split of the SuperLiga.
Almost 25 years old, Legolas is an experienced and well-known player in Spain. He began his career in 2019 in the Spanish amateur circuits before joining Guasones in LVP Div 2, where he won the Summer Split and the promotion tournament.
A Strong Year for Barça
In 2023, he played in the LVP SL with BISONS ECLUB alongside Alex "Myrwn" Pastor Villarejo, reaching the Summer final and making his first appearance in the EMEA Masters. Next year, he joined Barça, and since then he has made four EMEA Masters appearances, including a final lost to Los Ratones in last Spring.
The year 2025 was likely Barça’s most successful since launching their League of Legends division in 2022. After reaching their first final in Summer 2024 and losing to Heretics, they went on to finish as Winter finalists in 2025 before finally lifting a trophy in Spring.
Their EMEA Masters run was equally strong: they beat Los Ratones in groups and advanced past ZenniT, Gentle Mates and Karmine Corp Blue to reach the final. But Los Ratones had scaled by then, and the series ended in a clean sweep for the rats. For 2026, the entire roster is currently out of contract, and Legolas is the first player locked in so far.
