SlowQ and 113 are also joining Misa Esports, as previously reported by Sheep Esports
Byeon "Hype" Jeong-hyeon and Han "Way" Gil have signed with Misa Esports in the Turkish Championship League (TCL), sources tell Sheep Esports on Wednesday. Both players are leaving South Korea for the first time in their careers and will reunite at Misa Esports. The duo previously formed KT Rolster Challengers’ botlane in LCK CL for two years, in 2023 and 2024.
Becoming part of an ambitious roster aiming to win the EMEA Masters, the duo will join a lineup that already includes two previously reported signings: Seo “SlowQ” Ye-bit, who played for Karmine Corp Blue in the LFL in 2025, and Doğukan “113” Balcı, who spent the first two splits of the year with Team BDS in the LEC before moving to Barça eSports in the SuperLiga.
Top LCK Prospects
The two players, unfortunately, couldn’t play together in 2025. Hype was loaned out by KT to OKSavingsBank BRION for the year, while Way was first promoted to KT for the LCK Cup before being sent back to the academy to make room for Jeong "Peter" Yoon-su, who went on to shock the entire LoL scene by reaching the Worlds final, where he lost to T1.
This year again, he reached the LCK CL grand final, losing to BNK FearX. In the Summer Split, he was promoted once more to the LCK main roster for three BO3s, but it didn’t last long as the team lost to T1, Hanwha Life Esports, and Gen.G. In the LCK Cup, Way had a decent group stage before being knocked out in a clean sweep by Nongshim RedForce.
A Promising AD Carry
Hype has been one of the standout Korean talents in recent years, part of the KT Rolster Challengers roster that dominated the South Korean Tier 2 scene. He began his career with Liiv SANDBOX Youth in the LCK CL under the name "KingKong" before joining KT Rolster Challengers. In 2024, the team won both LCK CL splits, earning him recognition as the best AD Carry in the academy scene, the team also claimed the Asia Star Challengers Invitational 2024.
So highly regarded as a top prospect in the Korean league, KT signed Hype through 2027 before loaning him to BRION. He spent the entire year playing in the LCK, delivering a mixed season. The team finished 8th–9th in the LCK Cup and 8th in Rounds 1–2. In the Summer, they made it out of the Rise Group to the Play-In but lost both best-of-five series. Despite the struggles, Hype still managed to secure a pentakill early in the year on Ashe against DN Freecs.
While Hype and Way have an agreement with Misa Esports, Sheep Esports might write a follow-up story to this report due to an extremely unique situation developing 👀
