Gakgos has played five games since joining FlyQuest
İbrahim "Gakgos" Samet Bulut is set to remain on the FlyQuest LCS roster in 2026, sources tell Sheep Esports on Saturday. The 17-year-old Turkish toplaner will stay with the LTA North champions after joining them in the Summer Split from Project Conquerors, a LFL Division 2 team.
As previously reported by Sheep Esports, Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau will not be FlyQuest’s starting toplaner and is exploring his options in toplane and jungle. During the Summer Split, Gakgos somewhat served as a protégé of Bwipo, a player known for his mentoring approach.
When Bwipo was sidelined by FlyQuest following sexist remarks, Gakgos stepped in during the LTA 2025 Championship against Vivo Keyd Stars (3-0 for FLY), having previously made his debut during the regular season against Shopify Rebellion and Disguised.
From LFL Div 2 to LCS
Players capable of making the jump from a second division ERL are very rare, reminiscent of the case of French midlaner Kamil "Kamiloo" Haudegond, who moved from IziDream to Team Heretics in the LEC at just 19. For Gakgos, he joined FLY even younger: at 17, he started the split with PCS and finished second in the Winter Split, and barely into Spring (having played just two BO1s) he signed with FlyQuest.
Previously, he played for NASR eSports Turkey in the TCL 2024 Summer Split, and during the Spring of the same year, he competed in the Elite Series with mCon esports. Born in 2008, less than two years after the creation of League of Legends, Gakgos belongs to a generation of players who have only known modern LoL—and yet here he is, in one of the biggest clubs on the American scene.
FlyQuest, the post-2025
As FlyQuest heads into the offseason, the organization must navigate the challenge of sustaining its momentum without the architect behind its recent achievements. With several departures—Kacper "Inspired" Słoma moving to LYON and Alan "Busio" Cwalina heading to Karmine Corp in Europe—the roster is set for major changes and will likely look very different from the team that competed over the past two years.
In addition, the coaching staff has also been overhauled. As announced by the organization, Erlend "Nukeduck" Våtevik Holm and Alfonso "Mithy" Aguirre Rodríguez will no longer lead the team. Thomas “Thinkcard” Slotkin is set to serve as the team’s head coach in 2026, sources tell Sheep Esports.
