Gaax has re-signed with Fnatic for another year
Pablo "Gaax" Vegas Pérez has re-signed to Fnatic as Assistant Coach, according to sources close to Sheep Esports. Promoted to the LEC team's coaching staff two years ago, Gaax extends his journey with the Black and Orange for another year. Gaax will continue to work alongside Fabian "GrabbZ" Lohmann within the coaching staff.
Fnatic spoke with other assistant coaches — including Andrei ‘Odoamne’ Pascu — and Gaax himself held talks with other teams such as Movistar KOI. However, the Spanish coach and the British organization reached an agreement that will see Gaax return for his fourth year with the team: two years on the main team and one year with Fnatic TQ.
New blood at Fnatic
Now that Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann has been confirmed as the new Head Coach, it was only a matter of time before the decision was made regarding who will join his coaching staff. Despite another year where the British team couldn't break their LEC title drought and their roster taking a completely new direction, Fnatic maintains confidence in its current coaching staff to lead the next project.
From day one of the offseason, Grabbz was Fnatic's first choice to be the team's Head Coach, and both he and Gaax have been working closely together on building the roster and shaping the 2026 project.
Fnatic also has become the last LEC team to finalize its roster for 2026, completing a rebuilding phase that brought changes in three key positions: Panagiotis "Empyros" Tantis will be the starting toplaner next year, Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis joins as the new midlaner, and Park "Lospa" Joon-hyeong, previously competing with GIANTX Pride in the Superliga, joins as support. The organization took its time to evaluate options after a complicated 2025 season, ultimately opting for a refreshed core to anchor its new project. With these additions, Fnatic now turns the page and looks to re-establish itself as a strong contender in the league.
Fnatic's reported roster for 2026:
- Top: Panagiotis "Empyros" Tantis
- Jungle: Iván "Razork" Martín Díaz
- Mid: Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis
- ADC: Elias "Upset" Lipp
- Support: Park "Lospa" Joon-hyeong
- Head Coach: Fabian “GrabbZ” Lohmann
- Assistant Coach: Pablo "Gaax" Vegas Pérez
