Czajek returns to the academy
Midlaner Mateusz "Czajek" Czajka will join Vitality. Bee in LFL next season sources tell Sheep Esports. After a year in the LEC last season, Czajek will be making his return to the LFL team after two initial years in 2023 and 2024. After finally being promoted to the LEC team this season, Czajek had a fairly good first year as a rookie, without convincing Team Vitality to extend his stay on the main team.
Rather than being benched, the player will return to the academy team. According to our information, had Czajek been sold to another organisation such as Natus Vincere, the Hive would have turned to either Cengizhan "Mercy" Teker or Stanislav "Stanik" Hynk to fill the position..
Efforts close to pay off
After two convincing first seasons at Vitality. Bee, Czajek finally gets the chance to join the main LEC team. While many doubted him upon his arrival in the big league, he showed throughout the season that he had the level for the LEC. However, his team's overall performances and collective results do not meet the organization's expectations.
Team Vitality had ruled out the possibility of continuing with Czajek at the beginning of the offseason. The team had notably tried to attract Vladimiros "Vladi" Kourtidis, but ultimately turned to Marek "Humanoid" Brázda. Under contract until 2027, Czajek could still have had an exit pass to the LEC in Natus Vincere, but the Ukrainian organization ultimately preferred Yun "Poby" Sung-won's profile.
A step back
Instead of sitting on the bench, Czajek will return to the academic team he knows from before and will start his fourth year in the French structure. While the Bees did not have their best season despite a promising team, they are looking to build a new start for next year.
Czajek will notably meet Kacper "Nahovsky" Merski again as the head coach, whom he had known during his first two years in the structure. They will try to achieve better results this time. In 2024, the team had reached the final of the EMEA Masters and lost to Team BDS Academy. Czajek will replace Vincent "Vetheo" Berrié, whose future is still unknown for now.
